Frequently Asked Questions

Check-in, dogs, cancellations and everything else you'll want to know before your stay at the Lodge or the Cabin.

Booking and check-in

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is 3 p.m. (4 p.m. on Sundays) and check-out is 11 a.m. Both stays have keyless entry, so you can arrive any time after check-in.

Can I check in early or check out late?

Often, yes, depending on whether guests are staying the night before or after you. We don't charge extra for it, but please ask ahead, and we'll reach out when we can offer an earlier arrival or later departure.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes, a 2-night minimum.

What is your cancellation policy for direct bookings?

For stays booked on our website, you get a full refund if you cancel at least 14 days before arrival and a 50% refund if you cancel at least 7 days before arrival.

Do I need to sign a rental agreement?

Yes. Before your stay we'll send a short online check-in form where you sign the rental agreement and upload a photo ID. It only takes a few minutes.

How do I reach you during my stay?

Message us through the site you booked on, and we'll share our direct number for anything urgent once you're booked. We're quick to reply.

Dogs

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, up to 2 dogs. They need to be house-trained and listed on your reservation.

Is there a pet fee?

Yes, a $50 pet fee per stay. Let us know your dog is coming and we'll add it to your reservation.

Any rules for dogs?

Please keep dogs off the furniture and beds (bring their own bed or blanket), leashed outdoors, and crated if they're left alone. Waste bags are on the pet shelf; please pick up after your dog, wipe paws at the door and don't bathe pets indoors.

The stays

How many people do the stays sleep?

The Lodge sleeps 8 with two queen bedrooms, twin bunk beds and a sofa sleeper. The Cabin sleeps 6 with a queen bed, twin bunk beds and a pull-out sofa sleeper. Each has one full bathroom.

Can we book both for a group?

Yes. The Lodge and the Cabin are just up the road from each other, so you can book both for groups of up to 14.

What's in the kitchen?

The Lodge has a fully equipped kitchen for meals at home. The Cabin has a kitchenette for simple meals and snacks. Both have a charcoal grill with grilling utensils; bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid.

Is there Wi-Fi and TV?

Yes. Both stays have free Wi-Fi (satellite internet, good for streaming and browsing) and a Smart TV with streaming apps, plus board games.

Are towels and linens provided?

Yes, linens and towels are provided. If anything gets stained or damaged, just let us know.

Can we use the fire pit?

Yes. Bring your own split wood and fire starter, and burn only clean, untreated firewood. Never leave a fire unattended and follow any burn bans in effect.

House rules

Is smoking allowed?

Outside only, never indoors. Please use the ashtray and put butts and vape cartridges in the trash.

Are fireworks or firearms allowed?

No. The property sits in dry Ozark woods, so fireworks of any kind aren't permitted, and firearms aren't permitted on the property.

Can we clean fish at the property?

Please don't clean fish or leave fish waste anywhere on the property. It attracts wildlife.

What should we do before we leave?

Gather used towels (including the black makeup towels) in the hamper, wash the dishes you used, take kitchen trash to the outdoor bin with the lid latched, and lock the door.
